Jennifer at The Craft Patch is inspiring us with her unique cross-stitched pumpkin. She headed to the yarn aisle and found some of her favorite I Love This Cotton for a non-traditional color scheme.
1) Using a cutting tool, remove the top or bottom of your pumpkin to access the inside.
2) Draw your design with a pencil.
3) Use a small bit in a power drill to make holes in your pumpkin covering your design.
4) Stitch using a blunt tip needle with a big eye, tying off yarn on the inside.
Etch your pumpkin with a cheerful greeting with this idea from Skip to My Lou! After tracing your design, use a dremel tool to carve away the top layer of your faux gourd (take care not to cut all the way through.) Add a flameless candle to make your design glow!
